The Immortal Arms Guide Pin Bushing V2(GPIB2) replaces the Dillon toolhead spring and keeps the guide pin aligned with the frame.
As many know, the 1050 toolhead will "torque" around the shaft at the top of the stroke. This behavior can result in damaged or destroyed brass due to die and shellplate misalignment.
The GPIB2 has been designed to keep the guide pin captured and aligned during high speed AmmoBot runs.
Installation is very simple. Remove the toolhead from the press. Remove the toolhead spring. Remove the spring bushing from the frame. Place the GPIB2 on in the bushing hole, small end down. Using a wood scrap to protect the GPIB2, drive the GPIB2 into the opening with a hammer until seated flush to the frame. The GPIB should not move when seated fully. Place the locking collar on the portion of the GPIB2 that sits under the frame, slide up as far as it will go and tighten the set screw. Replace the toolhead. If the GBIP2 is properly set, it will extend below the locking collar. If the GPIB2 is flush or above the locking collar, continue to drive it down until it is below the collar. Bring the the toolhead to its highest position and ensure the pin is centered in the GPIB2. Tighten the toolhead bolt while maintaining pressure on the toolhead to keep the pin centered. (Tightening at the bottom of the stroke allows the toolhead to torque to the left causing the entire toolhead to twist at the top of the stroke).
As an added benefit, toolhead swaps are made easier by the GPIB2, only requiring the removal of the toolhead bolt. The toolhead can then be lifted right off without requiring any disassembly of the priming system or twisting around of the head.
We have tested the GPIB2 with both stock toolheads and the CNC toolhead we carry. They both have plenty of clearance in the down position while holding the pin inside the GPIB2 to keep it aligned.

I was having tool head wobble on the up stroke and the down stroke. I adjusted the index screw and tightened the shell plate nut. I couldn’t get the front guide rod to go through the shell plate hole without snagging it resulting in a loud clank and shell plate deflection. Installed this part with loctite and some index screw adjustments perfect cycle at low and high speeds!
